Serengeti National Park
Launch sites in the central and southern Serengeti — best views over the calving grounds in February.

A predawn lift-off, a silent hour over open plains, and a sparkling-wine breakfast laid out beneath an acacia.
Hot Air Balloon Safaris
A balloon safari is a ritual: a 4am wake-up, a drive in the dark to the launch site, the burner lighting the inside of the balloon as the sky greys. Then you’re up — at first low over the dew-wet grass, then climbing for a wider view as the sun crests the horizon.
Drift time is roughly an hour. On landing, a full bush breakfast — eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, sparkling wine, coffee — is laid out under acacias, often with a giraffe or two as company.
What Sets It Apart
01
In the Serengeti and Mara, balloon flights during the great migration months (July–October in the Mara, December–March in southern Serengeti) often pass over enormous herds.
02
On request we book private compartments so couples don’t share a basket — at a premium, but worth it.
03
Pilots position the balloon for the light and the herds; longer flights and aerial-photography priority can be arranged.
