A DMC Built On The Ground, Not Around It

Still Wild Safaris is a Destination Management Company (DMC) based and grounded in Uganda and Rwanda. We don't sell East Africa from a desk overseas; we operate it directly, with our own teams, our own vetted vehicles, drivers, and guides, and our own relationships with the lodges and parks across both countries.

If you're a travel agent, tour operator, or DMC abroad selling Uganda and Rwanda but don't have a trusted partner on the ground, that's exactly the gap we exist to fill.

Where We Operate

Mountain gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda

Uganda

Gorilla trekking across Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga, chimpanzee trekking at Kibale and Budongo, the Nile and savannah landscapes of Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the remote wilderness of Kidepo Valley. We know the roads, the rangers, the permit offices, and the lodges — and we know which ones actually deliver.

Lodge deck overlooking the Virunga volcanoes, Rwanda

Rwanda

Mountain gorilla trekking at Volcanoes National Park, chimpanzee and canopy walk experiences at Nyungwe Forest, Big Five safari at Akagera, and Lake Kivu stays. Our Rwanda ground team mirrors the same standard as our Uganda operation — local, accountable, and responsive.

Cross-border logistics between Uganda and Rwanda — including the Cyanika and Katuna border crossings used for combined gorilla trekking itineraries — are something we manage routinely, not occasionally.

What We Handle As Your Ground Partner

Full Itinerary Execution

Vehicles, drivers, guides, accommodation, and park logistics handled end-to-end across both countries.

White-Label Packages

Your brand, our ground operations. Your clients never need to know who is running the logistics behind the scenes.

Permits & Park Bookings

Gorilla and chimp trekking permits, park entry fees, and all related paperwork in Uganda and Rwanda, secured and managed in advance.

Cross-Border Coordination

Seamless Uganda-Rwanda combined itineraries, including border logistics and timing.

Local Vetting

Every lodge, driver, and guide in our network is vetted against our own sustainability and regenerative travel standards, so your client's experience is consistent every time.

Crisis & On-Ground Support

A real team in-country who can respond immediately if anything changes mid-trip.

Why Operators Choose Us

1

Regenerative By Default

Every itinerary we execute already meets our carbon and community-impact standards, so your brand inherits that story at no extra effort.

2

Two-Country Depth

Most ground partners specialise in one country. We run deep operations in both Uganda and Rwanda, simplifying combined gorilla trekking itineraries for your clients.

3

Lean And Responsive

We're a young, hands-on company, which means direct access to decision-makers rather than layers of account managers.

4

Built-In Storytelling

Our regenerative travel model gives your sales and marketing teams a genuine, differentiated narrative to sell against conventional safari operators.

Who We Work With

We partner with businesses abroad who sell East Africa but need a trusted team actually standing on the ground in Uganda and Rwanda. If you fall into any of the categories below, we're already built to support you.

Travel Agents & Travel Agencies

Independent agents and agency teams selling Africa to their clients, who need a dependable local operator to turn a sold itinerary into a flawlessly run trip — without having to manage logistics, permits, or vehicles themselves.

Tour Operators

Inbound and outbound tour operators who build East Africa itineraries for their own client base and need a ground partner who can execute reliably at volume, season after season, without surprises.

Other DMCs

DMCs based in other African countries, or globally, who occasionally need Uganda or Rwanda coverage outside their usual footprint — and would rather sub-contract to a specialist than build local capacity from scratch.

Specialist & Niche Operators

Birding specialists, photography tour operators, honeymoon and luxury travel designers, conservation and volunteering organisations, and university or research groups needing logistics support for fieldwork in Uganda or Rwanda.

Corporate & MICE Groups

Companies organising incentive travel, corporate retreats, or conference add-on safaris for delegates visiting East Africa, who need a single accountable point of contact for everything on the ground.

Partner With Our Network

Beyond B2B operators, we're building our supply network directly across both countries. If you're a guide, driver, eco-lodge, or conservation organisation operating in Uganda or Rwanda and aligned with regenerative principles, we want you in our network too. Local hiring and vetted, sustainability-first partners are what make our DMC promise credible in the first place.
